HOW SALARY PACKAGING WORKS

How does salary packaging work?

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) allows eligible employees to salary package a variety of personal expenses. The type and amount of these expenses depends on the industry you work in, your employer and the items they offer in their salary packaging policy.
We at SalaryPackagingPLUS help you identify eligible expenses you’re already paying and "package" them. You then receive these "packaged" amounts as tax-free salary which you can use to pay for rent, mortgage, credit cards or vehicle expenses.
Because you don’t pay tax on the salary packaged portion of your salary, your taxable income is reduced and your take-home pay increases.
That’s why thousands of Australians choose to salary package.
